It's been a task looking into the ones behind the writing of Ingerscholl Lockwood's books. These books strike more than an "eery" coincidence to me. I somewhat wanted to explore this a bit more. So I did. Here's more of a detailed analysis of my thoughts followed by my choices of supporting evidence. 1. It's either written just after a ritual where they were "channeling" spirits or by an intelligent species that really was driven underground.  2. Either way: it's still written about a species that does exist underground and about the works of deeds on the earth. 3. They like to use this language and actually find it interesting that you are none the wiser. They do call us "cattle" and "sheep" ya know? 4.
